Nice to see your steady activity. Haven't checked hive in awhile. We do call them stilts in English as you mentioned. You see them in carnivals sometimes around the States. Funny in New Orleans where I used to live for Mardi Gras they have the exact opposite lol they call them Big Heads. You got it ... big heads instead of long legs. The joke is the same and you end up with oversized, tall characters.
