Cloudy sky is good for the walk but clear sky is better for pictures.

Technically edible but quite bitter, supposedly good for pickling though.

Those bitter boletes always throw me for a loop. I always think they are a nice king bolete then I do a taste test nibble and get the bitter taste. Something that tastes like burnt rubber and fish oil with rotted pecan. They are a nice big beautiful mushroom for photos though.
