Yesterday was a typical Fall day in Vermont. The weather was changing all day long. Warm south wind in the morning. Switched to cold north wind in the afternoon. Showers coming and going. Fall isn't all glorious sun on beautiful, colorful mountain vistas. The first shot has clouds laying low on the mountains.

Later a mist started that obscured the mountains but didn't totally wash out the day.

Occasionally the sun would come out and highlight spots of color.

We got out for some walking but avoided the worst of the rain. This photo reveals the bare trees that are starting to appear among the colors.

There are some cute white cabins along one side of the lake. They were originally Sunset Lodge and part of a resort. They are now individually owned and maintained.

Here is the point from later in the day without any mist or clouds.

Colors are very near peak on this low mountain.

Another view of the cabins of Sunset Lodge. Its interesting that they have all been redone differently.

In the afternoon, there was some blue sky between the showers.

Here is Mount Moosalamoo, the highest peak along the lake. It is probably near peak colors. The top is beginning to be brown with bare trees, yet some of lower mountain side is still green. And lots of color on the slopes.

Vermont
Wow, what a beautiful area. Could you please tell me which country Vermont is in?
Autumn weather is so changeable! I'm not seeing any sign that things froze last night. I think we escaped it down here by the river.
Nature really is in autumn whatever the conditions, perhaps better without the rain 😀
Enjoy your evening
