After i brought the wife to work i decided to go to back to the forrest where they had these Wolf warning , because there was also a small bridge there over the highway, i wanted to scout that spot for both timelapse photography but also wanted to see if it would be a usefull spot for long shutterspeed .
Once i arrived i spotted a lot of people that were ignoring the wolf warnings so knowing there were a lot of people in the forrest i decided to go for mushroom hunting first before i would scout the bridge .
Before we continue grab some coffee or tea cause it's going to be a long walk +/- 40 Photos .
I will not identify the mushrooms since people don't read it .
About the weather conditions it was slightly raining , not to heavey and my camera is weather sealed so nothing to worry about , except for me getting a cold in the progress of making photos .
How close are you to the mushrooms ? that depends on the lens but with this Laowa lens the distance is not more the 3 cm the photo below is how i work mostly.
On the left you see my Godox M1 LED light lighting up the underside of the mushroom where the flashlight mounted on the camera can't reach.
On the right you see the Sony A7IV camera withe the Laowa FF 15mm F4.5 1:2 Macro lens.
The benifit of this camera is the small LCD touch screen that show if things are in focus or not , so that i don't have to lay on a wet ground and watch through the viewfinder of the camera .
On top of the camera i have a Godox V1s flashlight to light up to subjects from above with a small diffuser .
1 ) and that is how i create my photos most of the time
2 ) the extra light helps me showing all the details in the picture even those from the tiny larch pine cones
3 ) do youreally need that extra light ? well underneath all those trees on a dreadfull rainy day like today yes , there is hardly any sunlight shining through the leaves of the trees above.
4 ) right an old berch tree laying on the ground with a big mushroom , can you see it or should i move closer ?
5 ) one big mushroom growing on the side of it
5a ) And as i said it was raining hense the water drops hanging on the side and underneath it
5b )it's almost like it's sweating
6 ) and that is why you bring extra light with you , to light up those details
7 ) some photographers lik to clean up the surounding area of the mushroom , i prefer to shoot it the way i found it
8 ) on another dead tree i spotted these , if a sci-fi writer would see this she / he would create some monster from it living in holes
9 )
10 ) and a little bit to the right i spotted this pine cone with tinny mushrooms on it , and in the background some more mushrooms .
11 ) still the same tree trunk , dead wood always brings nice mushrooms .
12 ) in the sand on a dead tree trunk more mushrooms small ones but also ..
13 ) some bigger ones
14 ) this part of the forrest had some sand ground
15 ) dead tree trunks and also mushrooms
16 ) cleaning up the dead wood
17 )and there is the rest of the familly spread out around the tree trunk.
18 ) Moving onwords i spotted this group of mushrooms ,
19 ) not much room to look underneath
20 ) but with a little extra light
21 ) you can even see the little spider webs underneath it
22 ) the most famous mushroom in fairytales i think , if you ask a kid to draw a mushroom it will probably look just like this .
23 ) In Dutch we call it Vliegenzwam the scientific name is Amanita muscaria / and the English call it fly agaric
24 )This one is not full grown yet
25 )But still worth it to make i nice perspective shot without picking it up and damaging it.
26 ) some shots of the forrest as i walk in to an open space with some day light again
27 )some pine , oak and berch trees on this sandy ground
28 )growing out of a dead pine tree trunk.
29 ) families with little kids playing on the sandy grounds , even though there is still a warning sign because of wolves in the area .
I Juli / August this year there was kid grabbed by a wolf while playing people were able to get the kid but still the wolf hasn't been shot yet .
30 )Looks like the first crypto crash victim is now living here , and build a hut . 😜😂😂 or maybe some kids build it who knows .
31 ) I like my fake news version better
32 )more tiny mushrooms between the moss
33 ) from this angle the moss looks like a forest on it's own
34 )are you still with me or did you fall a sleep already ?
35 )the head of this one was like 5mm or less wide
36 )damn looks like i'm going for a new record here never, thought i would be able to write a bunch like 1000 words between my photos.
37 ) ok the last group of mushrooms for today , the wife already called that i should pick her up early today
38 )and that was the whole familly of the last group
And finally that bridge it was safe to stand still with camera , although there will always be people that hit the brake because they were speeding 😂😂, but i'll take that as a bonus .
39 ) maybe i can do a sunrise timelapse on thise side
40 ) might be a spot for sunset timlapse

Beautiful place
thank you :)
I love number 13 and the crypto crash hut lol!
Mushrooms everyday it seems, how often does your wife work?
usually she works 5 days a week , but when people get sick she often does an extra shift , yeah that crypto hut couldn't resist when i saw it .
Okay plenty of days to mushroom hunt at the moment!
yeah well she has a week of now so she can join me on the walk
Okay I wonder if she is as impatient as mine with her stopping to watch me take photos!
not really , but i do feel guilty some times to let her wait so you kind of rush it all , and because of that i'm always afraid that i missed something .
Yeah I get that guilty feeling too!
Wowwwww, the one with the drops on the mushroom is amazing
!DIY
