The Beauty of Su!
The first thing you would want to know is what Su means. The full word is Suriname, our country. We say here I love SU! And what's the beauty of Su? I'm sure you want to find that out. I'll explain below.
First i would like you all to see groom Irshaad, who comes from a Muslim family and lives in Nickerie city. That is in the west of Suriname. The bride is Namita and is from a Hindu family. She lives in Wanica city. They met each other at the University of Suriname and fell in love.
Now what is the beautiful part?
For long time it has been a problem if a Muslim weds a Hindu, because the question that rises is how will the marriage happen? Most of the time each family want the wedding to happen in their traditional way. Glad to tell you all that nowadays it's not a problem anymore and you see lots of cultures mixing with others. At their wedding the bride's family had no problem to do the wedding in Muslim way and i hope this stays so....
