Hellooooo Hivers,
Welcome to this friday post about a very common topic between the Indian community.
Why hair is taken off from newborns?
This not only happens in Indian families but after research I found out this is also done with other religions (some of them).
Indians goes with the thinking that hair from the newborns that come from the mothers womb is meant to be unauspicious.
That's what a normal Indian will tell you if they don't have the scientific knowledge behind this.
It's a tradition that they learn from the olders that it has to be done without knowing why exactly.
Well when you do your own research why they do that and mean that is not auspicious.
It's so that in the womb a child gets all the protection from virusses and bacteria's.
But when the child gets birth they make the child take a good bath.
The only left over is the hair that can't get a special treatment.
So they shave off the hair of newborns.
After this proces the hair can grow a lot better than previously.
Here are some photos of this cute baby hair being taken off.
This image is before and then they start the ceremony.
Here you can see that they first cut off with scissors.
I hope I could inform you with some knowledge about this tradition.
If there are questions from you all leave it in the comment.
With love,
