Greens

I did a post recently of reds so decided to keep in the color theme mode for today and share some shots focusing on the greens

Of course with winter still holding on here not to many greens to be seen, so these shots are from back on nicer warmer days

Now I do love the greens especially when the greens come back in spring and after a rain fall when the colors just seem so much more lush, but that said as I often go out for my photo walks in the early morning when it is still dark through to sunriseI do not actually at that time take so many shots of the lovely natural greens, but when I do get out for a day time walk then the greens really catch my eyes

Lets start with a shot one morning where I stayed out walking after the sun had risen and got this shot of Palmers Island here in New Bedford MA
if i remember correctly this was in spring last year as the colors were returnign nicely
I didnt walk to the island that morning as the tide was coming in and as you can see the path to the island is already covered with water in the middle

This is near West Beach still in New Bedford, one of the odd times I went out for a sunset walk, and was walking past this field and the greens caught my eye

THis is in a neighboring city Acushnet on a road appropriately called Lake street as it is between two lakes , I had hoped for a nice sunrise but clouds and moody skies at that meant it wasnt much of a sunrise but still a nice walk

And here we are in Buttonwoon Park in New Bedford on one side of the pond

And to finish off a shot taken in Dartmouth not that long ago when I last visited this spot the sea grass was all dry and brown, so when I saw it nice and green that morning it caught my eye

Beautiful shots. It feels like we are starting to get close to the greens finally coming back. I am looking forward to it even though it means I will have to start mowing my lawn again!

MY grandson is looking forward to it, he loves comign by and mowing our lawns, he is such a hard worker :)

I never knew my grandparents but had a greta uncle and aunt who wer elike grandparents to me, every week at leats once I visited them and did lawns and other things to help them special memories i treasure 👍🙂👍

Green is also rare here in Montreal. This morning, we were in shades of gray, but with the light snow that's just fallen, we're back to white. I hope your photos will make spring come faster 😀

Nice green post 👍 you are right that the greens are best in the spring when they burst forth after winter. The contrast makes them seem even greener. I lived in California for a long time and there was no change of seasons and it just wasn't the same.
