Market Friday

Market Friday

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

I had another post prepared for today, but with it getting colder, the other mornings I decided to go for a walk in the Dartmouth Mall, which opens for shoppers at 10AM, but they open the doors at 8AM for those who want to get a walk in and not be out in the cold, which the other morning when it was 25F and windy I decided was the sensible thing for me to do.
Its very rarely I take photos with my iPhone but I know many malls do not like people walking around with a big camera, so I took all these shots with my iPhone.
But I may try to take a walk with my Sony camera one day and get better shots and see if the security team says anything, I don't think it should be a problem all the shops are closed.
I do think its crazy they don't mind people taken photos with there phones but do with people using a camera, to me there is no logic to that with the quality of cell phone cameras these day s

So this is perhaps the most adhering tot he Market Friday concept post I have done for months a mall is very clearly a big market.
This first shot is showing the way I walked into the mall

mf the mall-8.jpg

And walking down the center of the mall, is a nice mall, not to big so I ended up doing many loops to get my steps in, and as you can see in this next shot the Christmas decorations are already out

NOw back before I wore glasses all the time, Sunglass hut stands used to be hard for me to walk by, at one stage I had well over 30 Pairs of sunglasses, most picked up from stalls like this in Airports, while waiting in transit I would get bored and walk around and often end up buying a new pair of sunglasses.

A shop my wife loves Old Navy whenever we visit the mall she goes in there and checks what they have

More Christmas Decorations

mf the mall-4.jpg

and as many malls have here this setup where you can pay to have photos taken with Santa

mf the mall-3.jpg

The Burlington Coat Factory is a new Addition to this mall, I dont think I have bene in there as yet,

mf the mall-2.jpg

And if Old Navy is my Wives favorite store, I like checking out in Spencers for what off the wall stuff they have

It looks just like in the shopping malls here, apart from that Santa photo thing. I haven't seen such here yet, but I haven't been in one in the past two years.

I wouldn't have noticed that these photos were shot with a phone and I completely agree with you. Some places are crowded with people who take photos with there phones, but if you hold the big camera to your eyes everybody looks at you ... they are just envious 🤣

!BEER and !WINE - both make a nice dinner with !PIZZA :)

Your right it could just be envy lol

!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Of course it is - when they take a photo and the phone rings, the shot is rubbish. We don't have that problem 🤣

!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Do true my camera has never ring and spoiled a shot

!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Have a great weekend, JJ 🌞

I know my wife loves it when I tickle her
She laughs while I'm tickling and is angry at me when I stop.

I loved the Christmas decor, makes me realize that Christmas is soon.

Yes it is approaching fast

I can't wait.

Nice shots. Do you guys have a lot of store fronts that are empty now? I think we have a ton in our local mall. We even have a couple of the anchor stores that are completely empty. It is kind of sad.

A couple of the anchor stores went, Burlington moved into one, and a few empty store fronts but it was better than the last time I went to the all a few months ago which surprised me

Ah, that is good!

The mall is really big and beautiful. Is there a general name for the entire mall?

Its called the Dartmouth Mall, its the closest one to us there a couple of bigger ones a little further away

The mall looks great, especially because of the festive vibe. I hope you enjoyed it there.

Well it gets boring walking loops around it but its good to have this option on colder days over winter

Wow, so that's how it looks when the shops are still closed.
I prefer it that way, hehehe!

Ohh yes me to I suspect over winter I will walk there a lot early morning

Christmas deco is also up on this side of the world :D

OMG! You sure had a lot of fun doing some clicking and goodness me! That mall has all the cool things I love. This season a lot of decorations is ongoing in so many malls making the place lit and beautiful. The images are cool. Great post. I enjoyed reading !PIZZA

Thanks so much

!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Thanks for the digital pizza and beer. Lol

Most welcome

Youre so true dswigle is one of the friendliest people here. Seems there is not much logic left on this Planet they should be happy somebody makes photos.

Cannot believe its that time of the year again the years seem to get faster and faster looks like a pretty quite day at the mall.

Yeah it’s n some ways the year has gone fast

They open the mall two hours before the shops open for walkers and that’s why it is so quite

Oh that makes sense then, that's good for photographers like you 👍

Well I mainly go there to get steps in to try and get my weight down

And maybe buy another pair of sunglasses 🤣

LOL Not anymore I need to wear prescriptions glasses all the time so my days of buying off the shelf sunglasses are over

Oh that's a shame no more Mr Cool 🤣 Oh well look at the money your saving 👍

Great trip through the mall, @tattoodjay! I love malls. They are actually great places for photography.
