🇬🇧 After a wonderful sailing trip along the Corsican coast, we had a meeting planned with @marc-allaria in Sardinia. We were slightly ahead of his catamaran Maesha, but we would wait for him in Alghero. Marc already knew Sardinia, and we would let ourselves be guided by his discoveries along the island’s west coast — a mix of unspoiled nature and Sardinian culture.
🇫🇷 Après un magnifique séjour en voilier le long de la côte corse, nous avons rendez-vous avec @marc-allaria en Sardaigne. Nous avons un peu d’avance sur son catamaran Maesha, mais nous l’attendrons à Alghero. Marc connaît déjà la Sardaigne et nous nous laisserons guider par ses découvertes le long de la côte ouest du pays. Un mélange de nature préservée et de culture sarde.
🇪🇸 Tras una maravillosa travesía en velero a lo largo de la costa de Córcega, teníamos una cita con @marc-allaria en Cerdeña. Llegamos con un poco de antelación respecto a su catamarán Maesha, pero lo esperaríamos en Alguer. Marc ya conocía Cerdeña y nos dejamos guiar por sus descubrimientos a lo largo de la costa occidental de la isla: una mezcla de naturaleza virgen y cultura sarda.
🇬🇧 Discovering Sardinia’s west coast by sailboat means enjoying an experience between raw nature and Mediterranean authenticity. Less crowded than the Costa Smeralda in the east, this part of the island captivates with its wild cliffs and hidden coves. The coastline offers splendid anchorages, often solitary, ideal for those seeking tranquility.
🇫🇷 Découvrir la côte ouest de la Sardaigne en voilier, c’est s’offrir une expérience entre nature brute et authenticité méditerranéenne. Moins fréquentée que la Costa Smeralda à l’est, cette partie de l’île charme par ses falaises sauvages et ses criques isolées. Ce littoral offre des mouillages splendides, souvent solitaires, idéaux pour ceux qui cherchent la tranquillité.

🇬🇧 Castelsardo is a superb medieval village perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea, with narrow streets and the Doria castle. It is one of the most beautiful towns in Sardinia, offering an authentic atmosphere and spectacular panoramas.

🏖️ 🇬🇧 La Pelosa is one of Sardinia’s most famous beaches, renowned for its immaculate white sand and shallow turquoise waters. With the Aragonese tower of Stintino in the background, it offers a postcard setting worthy of the Caribbean. For us, however, the spot was far too crowded: not what we were looking for, so we anchored a little further north.
🏖️ 🇫🇷 La Pelosa est l’une des plages les plus célèbres de Sardaigne, réputée pour son sable blanc immaculé et ses eaux turquoise peu profondes. Avec en toile de fond la tour aragonaise de Stintino, elle offre un décor de carte postale digne des Caraïbes. Pour nous, en revanche, l’endroit est vraiment trop prisé : ce n’est pas ce que nous recherchons et nous mouillerons un peu plus au nord.
🏖️ 🇪🇸 La Pelosa es una de las playas más famosas de Cerdeña, conocida por su arena blanca inmaculada y sus aguas turquesas poco profundas. Con la torre aragonesa de Stintino como telón de fondo, ofrece un paisaje de postal digno del Caribe. Para nosotros, sin embargo, el lugar estaba demasiado concurrido: no era lo que buscábamos, así que fondeamos un poco más al norte.
🇬🇧 Alghero, with its Catalan walls, is an unmissable stop. Nicknamed the “Barceloneta of Sardinia,” it fascinates and surprises with its historic center influenced by Catalan culture, its cobbled streets, and its seafront ramparts. The old town is full of lively squares, traditional restaurants, and artisan workshops. From the port, you can admire stunning sunsets over the sea.
🇫🇷 Alghero, avec ses remparts catalans, est une escale incontournable. Surnommée la « Barceloneta de Sardaigne », elle séduit et surprend par son centre historique aux influences catalanes, avec ses ruelles pavées et ses remparts face à la mer. La vieille ville regorge de petites places animées, de restaurants traditionnels et d’ateliers d’artisans. Depuis le port, on peut admirer de superbes couchers de soleil sur la mer.
🇪🇸 Alguer, con sus murallas catalanas, es una escala imprescindible. Apodada la «Barceloneta de Cerdeña», fascina y sorprende por su casco histórico con influencias catalanas, sus calles empedradas y sus murallas frente al mar. El casco antiguo está lleno de plazas animadas, restaurantes tradicionales y talleres de artesanos. Desde el puerto se pueden admirar magníficas puestas de sol sobre el mar.
🇬🇧 With our holds filled with Italian pasta and cheese, we set sail again. A long-awaited rendezvous now awaited us: we were heading back together, each with our own boat, to Tunisia. A country where we met, shared adventures, and also where we began learning to sail — at the helm of his first boat, Sahara. Great moments and unforgettable memories.
🇫🇷 C’est les cales remplies de pâtes et de fromage italiens que nous reprenons la mer. Un rendez-vous que nous attendions depuis longtemps nous attend désormais. Nous allons retourner ensemble, chacun avec son bateau, en Tunisie. Un pays où nous nous sommes connus et avons vécu quelques aventures communes. Mais aussi le pays dans lequel nous avons débuté notre apprentissage du voilier, à bord de son premier bateau : Sahara. De grands moments et des souvenirs inoubliables.
🇪🇸 Con las bodegas llenas de pasta y queso italianos, volvimos a zarpar. Nos esperaba una cita muy esperada: regresaríamos juntos, cada uno con su barco, a Túnez. Un país donde nos conocimos, compartimos aventuras y también donde empezamos a aprender a navegar, al timón de su primer barco: Sahara. Grandes momentos y recuerdos inolvidables.
