With Autumn in full swing, my 3 year old daughter (who has developed a love for hiking) wanted to go to a waterfall. So I packed my gear up and we mad our way to a trail that takes us to Felkers falls in the east end of Hamilton Ont.
Starting at Little Davis falls, I saw this as a good opportunity to test out my new drone (DJI Mini 3). The settings need a lot of adjustment but it still did a decent job at capturing the beauty!
Right after landing the drone, we had this large garter snake slowly make it's way by us. They tend to move very slowly in colder temperatures, making it very easy to get shots.
The trail is stunning with the Autumn colors and we had a blast checking it all out while on a well defined path beside the water.
Just before making it to the waterfall I put the drone back up. While my little girl giggled and laughed while throwing rocks into the water. One of her favorite things to do lol.
I need to adjust the settings on the drone badly, but it did a great job! We made it to the base of the falls, I sat and relaxed while she ran around throwing more rocks into the water.
After a while we decided to make our way back out and call it a day. I am so happy that she loves hiking! My little adventure buddy! But we will have to see how keen she is once winter hits.

I would've loved to have had the opportunity to photograph a wild snake! Especially with all that colour and autumn atmosphere around. Very beautiful!
Thanks!! And yeah its not easy to find these types so still and slow
