Enjoying The First Winter Blast Of 2022

Southern Ontario got its first substantial snowfall of the year and I could not resist getting out for a hike! I decided on the Bruce Trail to Felkers Falls in Stoney Creek Ont.

I was surprised at how much was already forming and cannot wait until winter has fully set in!

It looks so cold yet so ethereal. Those icicles. And Ice blue might me one of my favourite colours ever, it is so hyaline. I like the contrast of the fall leaves over the frozen dark waters in the last, it's like a "clashing of the seasons" feel.

it's been cold here on the West coast as well! This is beautiful Terry

if this was only a "blast" imagine the full winter! it will be crazy and i bet you will do wonderfull photos!

The ice on the waterfalls in the area with be solid enough for ice climbers and for people to walk behind, it is really nice and thanks!!

Those shots look rad!

Thanks!

I haven't seen Felkers Falls, but this reminds me of Websters Falls. Must be wild to take shots on the Bruce in winter. I've only been there in summer. Cool photos!
