This large "room" area at the start of a storm drain has been a place that I have been trying to get a good steel wool shot at for a couple of years now. It is closed of with metal grate and I have wanted to stand on top and spin steel wool with the sparks raining down into the room. I have gotten it, but not in the way I have wanted, like in these shots.
After years of trying and trying multiple ways this night, all it took was a new perspective. I have no idea why I had never thought of something so simple as setting the camera up on the other side of the grate, but I hadn't until this night. The results were the exact shots that I have been wanting! Finally after all of this time!
