Long exposure photography is a technique in which the camera's shutter is left open for an extended period of time, typically several seconds to several minutes. This allows more light to enter the camera, resulting in a brighter image. The technique can be used to create a number of different effects, such as smoothing out moving water or clouds, creating star trails, or capturing the movement of people or vehicles. To achieve these effects, a tripod and a remote shutter release or a self-timer are often used to minimize camera shake. Additionally, a neutral density filter may be used to reduce the amount of light entering the lens, allowing for longer exposure times without overexposing the image.
