Hello hivers today I bring a blog on portrait photography. So basically portrait photography is all about clicking picture of someone personality with different poses with good lighting. Mostly for portrait photography we use prime lens. So this time I used 50mm.
So basically you can use external light as well for great lighting source which makes photographs more attractive. But I always try to use natural light. So I placed the model where proper amount of light comes on the face.
When you do portrait photography you should set aperture minimum possible. Thats why we use prime lens because it gives the best bokeh. I use sony 50mm lens with f 1.8 and I set it as low as possible for best result.
When you click pictures outside you should set shutter speed high according to the exposure. If the light is more in the picture so you should set it high as much possible and subject should be exposed properly. If subject is dark you should low the shutter speed.
For portrait photography you need a model and best place to shoot her/him. Background should be attractive as well because it gives very good outlook. Most of the time I use walls and natural backgrounds like these plants.
Most important thing for portrait photography is creativity. You should have creative angles to click pictures. And you should also be creative about poses of model. After that you should choose creative color combinations for that you can use color chart.
