The challenge is a week long learning experiment. I bought a fixed 50mm Nikkor lens in 2018 and I have never spent the time to get the feel for the lens. The initial photos were disappointing, out of focus, framed inconsistently, etc. After reading an article from kenrockwell.com I thought it was time to give it another go. So if you have thought about a fixed lens it may be the time to go for it. I'm loving it after a couple days. Maybe this will inspire you. It certainly has been something that takes some getting used to though. I'm going to provide these unedited, right out of the camera for the sake of discovery.

We are absolutely loving our fixed lens! The pictures have been so clear! We were thinking that the camera was old and partially broken so we were considering getting a new one but then we tried the fixed method that some people have been raving about and we are so glad we didn’t buy a new camera!
I’ve got a 9 or 10 year old canon rebel T3, a challenging camera sometimes because the 3Ti is typically the popular one and we find better info for that one.
Took that several weeks ago. Loving the fixed!
The bridge one of yours is my favorite!
Thanks for the reply. I think this camera is about 12 years old and I really love what I'm seeing from the fixed. It's just something that you have to get used to. It really forces you to think about your frame before you even start the process of shooting. Your pic is great and its awesome you got more life from your camera!
