It's been raining where I live for a while now. There was already a lot of snow during the winter. With the rain and the melting snow, the stream has become quite turbulent. In fact, I'd say not only the stream, but the roads have turned into lakes too.

A stream flows through many neighborhoods of the city, originating from high-altitude mountains and plateaus. The sound of the turbulent water crashing against the rocks is sometimes disturbing. Of course, it's disturbing if it prevents you from sleeping. When the stream flows only with water from its source, the sound is somewhat more melodic and not so disturbing.

Two streams flowing from different neighborhoods merge right here, and the stream becomes more turbulent. Besides being the confluence of these streams, this area is significant for its many historical structures. At the very back is a castle several thousand years old. Right there is a restored historical bridge. A little further back is a historical mosque. The muddy stream water seems to harmonize with the historical structures in the background.

In wider areas, the stream's exuberance and ferocity subside, until the area narrows and the water crashes against the rocks.

This stream joins other streams and rivers in other cities before flowing into the Persian Gulf. Thinking about a small stream traveling for miles to reach the sea feels a little different.
