The Nemrut Caldera, Türkiye's largest and one of the world's few calderas, is flooded with visitors as the leaves turn yellow in autumn. Stunning in every season, the region takes on an even more aesthetically pleasing appearance as autumn draws to a close. Visitors can't help but admire the vibrant array of colors. Especially on weekends, lovers capture their heartfelt moments here in photographs.
Türkiye'nin en büyük, dünyanın sayılı kalderalarından biri olan Nemrut Kalderası sonbaharda yaprakların sararmasıyla birlikte ziyaretçi akınına uğruyor. Her mevsim göz alıcı olan bölge, sonbaharda kapanışa doğru daha estetik pozlar veriyor. İnsanlar renk çümbüşünün doyasıya görüldüğü yeri görmeden edemiyor. Özellikle haftasonları, daha çok sevgililer burada duygu dolu anlarını fotoğraf karelerinde ölümsüzleştiriyor.
The summit of the caldera is around 2900 meters, while the elevation of the area where I took the photos is 2200 meters. Normally, trees wouldn't grow at such an altitude, but due to the microclimate, many tree species do grow in the region.

In some parts of the forest, the foliage is shallow while others are sparse. In some places, the trees are gradually yellowing, while on the other side, the changes are darker.
Ormanlık alanda bazı yerler sığ iken bazı yerler seyrek. Yine bazı yerlerde ağaçlar yavaş yavaş sararırken diğer taraftaki değişimler daha koyu renkte oluyor.
This place is as mysterious as it is impressive. There's a path ahead, but you never know what you'll encounter just 10 meters down the road. It's easy to come face to face with death.
Burası etkileyici olduğu kadar gizemli bir yer. Önünüzde bir yol var ancak 10 metre sonra karşınıza ne çıkacağını bilemiyorsunuz. Ölüm ile burun buruna gelmeniz işten bile değil.
As you take more steps, your courage grows. You want to go further. On the other hand, if you've come this far alone, you remember your friends. You think they'll be worried about you, so you turn back. Because there's no phone signal, they can't reach you or know where you are.

A cobblestone road was built to allow people to drive around the caldera. Naturally, the forest was divided into two. Originally, the forest was not so shallow. As the saplings grew, nearby villagers would cut down the trees and carry them away. When the caldera was placed under protection and tree felling stopped, the forest began to form.
İnsanların araçları ile kalderayı gezebilmesi için arnavut kaldırımı taşları yol yapılmış. Haliyle orman da ikiye ayrılmış. Aslında önceleri ormanlık alan bu denli sığ değilmiş. Fidanlar biraz büyüdükçe bölgeye yakın köylüler ağaçları kesip götürürlermiş. Kaldera koruma altına alınınca, ağaç kesimi durdurulunca ormanlık alan oluşmaya başlamış.
Trees and living things are so beneficial to humans. They've blocked the massive rocks falling from the hills. Without them, they might have caused people's deaths. Some of the rocks broke away from the hills thousands of years ago. Others have recently broken away from the top and reached the bottom.
Ağaçların, canlıların insanlara o kadar çok faydası var ki. Tepelerden kopan şu kocaman kayaları engelleyen ağaçlar olmuş. Onlar olmasa belki de insanların ölümüne neden olacaktı. Kayaların bir kısmı binlerce yıl önce tepeden kopmuş. Bazıları da son zamanlarda yukarıdan kopup aşağıya kadar inmiş.
