The Taiga Lake

Hi!
Our way on the Vottovaar led us to a fairly large forest lake. All local lakes, with the exception of very large ones, are unnamed. So this lake didn't have a name either. We were already exhausted enough by the heat transition. We had to constantly go up and down. We walked along the narrow path one after the other.
As our instructor said, crossing such a difficult terrain is considered three times longer than on a flat one. We walked, for example, one kilometer, but we were tired, as if we had to cover a distance of three or four kilometers.

Besides, we were pretty bitten by midges. It also tired us out a lot. Therefore, we were infinitely glad to have a long-awaited rest on the shore of the lake.

Clouds were rushing across the sky at high speed. The sun was appearing. that was hiding behind them again. But near the lake, it was quiet below. It was surrounded on all sides by a wall of coniferous forest.
We tried the water and it seemed to us just icy. But when we put our feet in such water, we felt bliss.

Someone suggested a swim. It was an unexpected offer. No one planned to swim in the taiga. But there were a couple of brave souls. I was one of them. The first sensation of entering the water is horror. But then the body normalized its temperature and the skin, disturbed by insect bites, began to rest.

We carefully swam to the middle of the lake and returned back. It was very pleasant. We climbed out onto the shore and dried up in the sun.
Later, at home, I made a single panorama of several pictures of the lake. It didn't work out very well, as the sun went behind the clouds and the lighting changed.

A small butterfly sat down to rest on my wife's toe. She was sitting and basking in the sun. I managed to take a picture of her.

Travel farther and longer!
