"Angels in times of Crisis" - Life of Children in Times of Challenges

Hi this @uwanderer sharing with you my insights as a volunteer, field worker, and community development officer.

I work with various communities that are struck or affected by natural or man-made disaster.

We tend and support the individuals and families in need during emergency or life threatening situation.

My insights focuses on children as they are the most vulnerable groups when disaster strikes.

I highlighted them because they are helpless and powerless when it comes to disaster and calamity because they are defenless and unable to protect themselves.

Children are also prone to traumatic stress that will prolong if not properly attended. And as a volunteer and community worker my hearts ache in times they are hurt and in pain.

To aid and support them in times of disaster. I conduct psychosocial care and support to elevate themselves from traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression. This kind of intervention lighten up the heavy situation the children are experiencing.

As children gradually heal up from the traumatic experience. They slowly come up and welcome their normal life as a child. And seeing these children play, dance, sing, write, read, count, and enjoy their childhood life is rewarding. A priceless success not just a community worker but as a human helping the future generation to cultivate their future and dreams.
