Undoubtedly this is one of the most controversial places that I met in the whole trip to the north of Argentina.
Immense and extraordinary. Hundreds of meters of white, reflective floor.
Impressive not sun for its extension and clarity, also for the altitude of its location that generates, for me, the greatest and best contrast for the photographic record.
Sin duda este es uno de los lugares más polémicos que conocí en todo el viaje al norte de Argentina.
Inmenso y extraordinario. Cientos de metros de suelo blanco reflectante.
Impresionante no sol por su extensión y claridad, también por la altitud de su ubicación que genera, para mí, el mayor y mejor contraste para el registro fotográfico.
A few kms from reaching the site where the salt flat is located, there is this stop that marks 4170 meters high.
The road is winding and shocking. A small route between the mountains. You can appreciate the landscape, the plants and even some animals of the place (something that excites me a lot!)
A pocos kms de llegar al sitio donde se ubica el salar, se encuentra esta parada que marca 4170 metros de altura.
El camino es sinuoso e impactante. Una pequeña ruta entre las montañas. Se puede apreciar el paisaje, las plantas e incluso algunos animales del lugar (¡algo que me emociona mucho!)
Upon arrival there is a parador with posts staffed by the locals. I spoke with one of the merchants, who told me that she lived 40 km from the place, in a town of 1000 inhabitants. A completely parallel reality.
I wanted to shoot her with my analog equipment, but she was somewhat intimidated, so I canceled the record.
A llegar hay un parador con puestos atendidos por las personas del lugar. Hablé con una de las comerciantes, quien me conto que vivía a 40kms del lugar, en un pueblo de mens de 1000 habitantes. Una reaidad paralela por completo.
Quise retratarla con mi equipo analogico, pero se sintio algo intimidada, por lo que cancelé el registro.

Everything here is made of salt. The structures of the stalls, the tables and chairs, the monuments. Literally everything.
I am moved to appreciate the possibilities of matter and materials. As something so volatile, light, tiny, it can build strong structures.
Todo aquí está hecho de sal. Las estructuras de los puestos, las mesas y sillas, los monunmentos. Literalmente todo.
Me conmueve apreciar las posibilidades de la materia y los materiales. Como algo tan voláti, liviano, ínfimo, puede construir fuertes estructuras.
I took all these images with my Xioami Redmi note 8. It is an acceptable result for a very bright and contrasting environment. I continue to be surprised by the capabilities of this team, being of the lower mid-range. So thank you Chinese friends! Haha!
