Why would animals stay clear of this area? It is a waterhole with a clear line of site.
Do you hike this park often. It would be interesting to see if and when wild life comes to the area. Maybe it was just a hot period of the day. 🤔

First time for me. In fact is was quite hot that day actually. I suppose the morning hours may see more wildlife activity. Maybe next time will make a point of going in the morning..
