Hand colored with colored pencils and markers: R146 Omnistar

in Rising Star Game15 hours ago

A big hug to you all, friends. I'm so happy to have you here again with me for this new drawing I've made just for you, whom I cherish so much. This hand-drawn picture is of an instrument called the Omnistar. It's one of the rare instruments, and its identification code is R146. The instrument appears to be a musical synthesizer or perhaps some kind of recorder. I confess I don't know the instrument very well. So, I invite you to tell me if you know how it works. I'd love to know. Well, here are the first images of how I started drawing it.

I love the design of the deck itself. Just look at those right angles in different colors. They make it look very elegant. It reminds me a lot of a puzzle game I played some time ago; the pieces had a very similar shape. If you're curious about how I did that part of the drawing, I used a ruler and a regular pencil. First, I drew a line and then went over it with a black marker.

But not all the lines are black. In fact, I went over the black marker with a fine-tip pen, which has a thicker, less intense tip. That way, you can see the original line I drew plus the color I added with the fine-tip pen.

After sketching the initial lines by hand, including the base of the deck and the synthesizer, you can see in the images above how I colored those right angles. Would you like to see the final highlights with the last areas that need coloring? I'm sure you would. I've also included an extra image showing several of the materials I used to create the drawing.

Friends, the work is now complete. But before you go, I have a little something for you. 😅 Do you know what the Omnistar is? If you do, I'd love to hear a bit about it. It's one of the few instruments I've drawn whose function I don't know. But luckily, I have you all to help me learn. Personally, it looks like a synthesizer to me. I'll laugh a lot if I'm wrong. I'll be back soon with a new drawing.
