A hug, friends. This time, I want you to see my hand-drawn illustration of the day. You know, today I drew and colored the Chime Bar instrument. It's represented in the i154 deck. This instrument is very unusual and even a little strange. First of all, let me tell you that it's very unusual to see. I'm sure many in the community have never seen it or know what it sounds like. It's a complete mystery in the world of instruments. And don't worry, I didn't know how it worked either until I saw it among the decks in the game and wanted to investigate a little. I love knowing how things work, so I couldn't resist this one either, and besides painting it, I learned a lot about it.
If you want, I'll tell you a little about how it works. Well, it's a metal bar, but not just any metal; it's aluminum. This metal is chosen because it's more resonant and better at creating sound. But it's not just a metal bar; it's attached to a piece of wood. This isn't just to make it look pretty or anything like that; it serves a very important function. When you hit the metal bar, it transmits the sound to the piece of wood, making it louder and softer at the same time. It's quite interesting.
A wooden mallet is also used to hit the bar, but instead of a normal stick like the ones used on drums, this one has a rubber ball on the tip. It all serves its purpose. The ball helps create a more open and beautiful sound.
I told you before that this instrument is little-known, and it's true. You can think about it if you've ever seen it in a music video. I'm sure most of you will say no. That's because this instrument isn't widely used for those purposes. It's almost always used in songs that like slightly more experimental sounds. So, while I was talking to you about this instrument, you saw how I drew it, and now I want to show you how I colored it.
I never forget to highlight the most important parts and edges with a black marker to make the drawing stand out a little more.
I bid you farewell as I arrived with a hug, but not before showing you my finished drawing. Here are the materials used and the drawing complete. See you next time.
