Well, not sure how exactly starting ego is calculated, but for Rap Battle in world map 4(also 5 min mission) starting ego is much lower than for Illegal Busking. Maybe because of my lvl or how far I'm in game. Game's FAQ doesn't give an answer for this. I'm not bothered with this because I'm getting a lot of skill per music lesson.

Busking starts at 1 for me, Radio starts at 0, but damn yours are high LOL. I guess if you start to spam it, it multiplies.
