In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.
Starting in May, I started to create a playlist to keep track of the last songs I commented on in my posts. It will be useful for me not to doubt if I had already talked about a song before or not. The last song is Lunes por la madrugada of the group Los Abuelos de la Nada
Insane in the Brain: Cypress Hill
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Insane in the Brain of the group Cypress Hill.
Since I was a teenager I started to be a big follower of American Hip-Hop, especially the Old School. I remember that some friends with whom I played Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Multiplayer (SAMP) had shown me some songs by a guy named Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube, who I didn't know until that moment. At that time, I ended up being quite a fan of Snoop Dogg but I didn't go much deeper into the genre.
I got back in touch with American hip-hop after watching the N.W.A. documentary series called “Letras explicitas” in Spanish. That series made me investigate more about the life of the members of that band, among them some Dr Dre, Ice Cube and Eazy-E. I ended up being fascinated mainly by Dr. Dre's level of song production and ended up being amazed by albums like The Chronic and my favorite rap album 2001.
As far as Hip-Hop groups go, my favorite is, without a doubt, Cypress Hill. Although I don't remember exactly how I met them, it was probably after listening to a song by other artists and having it autoplay.
Cypress Hill is an American hip-hop group formed in California in 1988. It is formed by B-Real, Sen Dog, DJ Muggs and Eric Bobo. It is one of the groups that integrated members of Latin origin, so they made songs in both languages.
Insane in the Brain is the group's most famous song, released in 1993 for the album Black Sunday. It has 450 million plays on the Spotify platform and 200 million on Youtube.
Before announcing the winner of tonight's giveaway. I will share my game statistics on Rising Star, which I gathered using a tool that I created in Rising Star Utils. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post. The rewards have increased to 150,000 STARBITS in February.
At this time, the giveaway rewards will not increase due to my account's limited production at the moment.
