We all have our moment of glory, of shining, of giving it our all and showing what we can do. Ray had it, shone, and gave it his all in his time, and he saw the results clearly. He dedicated himself to being a professional singer in his younger years; he knew how to take advantage of every opportunity that presented itself. His singing career was full of successes, although of course there were failures; it wasn't perfect. But at least it had more positive aspects than negatives. When he was at the top of his game—that is, having a name, years of experience under his belt, and sufficient income—he decided it was time to retire. Many were speechless when he announced it.

They couldn't believe someone like him was giving it all up. He explained on several occasions that he was retiring not because he wasn't satisfied with his work, but because he now wanted to pursue a quieter life, away from the public eye, so he could enjoy life with his family. Money wouldn't be a problem because he had accumulated enough.

Even so, people never stopped wondering how it was possible, how you can leave everything behind to go and rest. But even though they didn't understand, Ray was clear about it. When you feel you've had enough of something, it's time to stop. Well, after his announcements and explanations, he ended up leaving that whole world behind and bought a mansion far from the city. There, he spent his days enjoying time with his family and doing the things they all liked. It was a very happy time for everyone. He bought them each luxury cars, bought them properties, and they often traveled the world to see new places.

When he was alone, Ray loved pottery. His father was a potter all his life, and although Ray later took a different path, he did follow in his footsteps, but in his own home. He often made handmade plates and ornaments for the house. Many of the things he made were later auctioned off and could sell for good money, because they were his own creations, and people valued him, and even though he was retired, they still followed his music.

The days, months, and years continued to pass. And Ray was slowly forgotten. His music was great in its day, but with no new music and no longer a presence on the market, his reputation faded, and only the most dedicated fans listened to him. Now, it could be said that his time had passed. His pottery, which had once sold for several thousand dollars, was now gathering dust on the shelves; no one knew him. Meanwhile, the family continued traveling, hosting private parties, going on cruises, buying properties and cars. In short, the money was disappearing rapidly, faster than Ray could have ever imagined.

Ray's private economist called him, alarmed, and told him that disaster was imminent. Spending was sky-high, and cash coming in was very low. Ray then told him that if they cut back, nothing would happen. But his economist told him that the waste had gone too far. Even spending zero on new things, maintaining everything they had would lead to ruin in less than a year. That's where Ray discovered a harsh reality: you can't just retire if you don't create a plan for the future. If you only take out and don't give in, you'll be left with nothing when you least expect it.

The economist recommended selling everything immediately and buying a small house. He also told him that he should find some form of income to maintain his high standard of living. And pottery wasn't the way to go. That revelation shook everyone. They couldn't believe this was happening. With their hearts in their mouths, they began to make drastic changes. They sold everything they didn't need and bought a small house. That way, they could live comfortably there until they figured out how to solve the problem. After much thought, Ray decided he should return to music as soon as possible. His family supported him.

With the remaining resources, he hired a team and returned to music, releasing a few songs. But his moment had passed. It was like starting from scratch, but his talent hadn't been lost; it was only a matter of time before it took off again. Although his moment was over, he could bring it back if he put in the effort. His only regret is not having a plan to retire and do things right. Without so much waste. He plans to retire again in the future, but now with a well-thought-out plan and, above all, by creating more income opportunities. He always has a long-term plan.
