A successful representative of the reggaeton genre, Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, better known as Daddy Yankee, has become a well-known name among the Latin music-loving public. He is a famous millionaire and famous for his art. But he doesn't forget his humble origins. There is no evidence that any trace remains of his turbulent past. While he walks the red carpet at important events and meets foreign celebrities, the artist has gone through difficult times in his life.
The singer, producer, songwriter and businessman began his career at the age of 14, focusing on Latin rap and salsa. They shot him while he was living in a very humble neighborhood in Puerto Rico. His dream of becoming a professional athlete in that sport had to take refuge in music after a bullet shattered his hip.
The bullet came from an AK-47 rifle and the singer admitted that she felt a strong shock and great fear. After the shooting, he ran for his life and sought help from a local addict. Because of this, Daddy Yankee says he never received any comments about them.
Although the attack was a mistake and the perpetrator intended to harm another young man, Daddy Yankee's formative years were surrounded by drugs, violence, and alcohol. He made his first breakthrough in music and left those years behind when his hit song Gasolina de ella catapulted him to the international scene.
