Just sat down to break nugs, blaze buds, and check out the recent cannabis news. These stories peaked my interest.

"Cannabis News - THCP | Ep. 570 | 01-10-2020" - The Marijuana Times

Maine is getting closer to recreational legalization, applications are being accepted by the State, they're looking to have smaller scale growers and sellers and less large companies - as early as Spring 2020, great news! Next week is another US Federal hearing on cannabis, being discussed by the energy, commerce, and health sub committees. The reclassification of cannabis is the goal so it can be opened up for research and sale. Two additional cannibinoids have been discovered, research is being done to find out the effect they have on the system.

"Cannabis Conversations: Ethan Russio, MD CBG, cannabinoid acids, and the global CBD phenomenon" - Project CBD

Martin Lee with Project CBD sits down and talks with Ethan Russo, MD, about THC, CBD, CBG, cannabinoid acids, and the global CBD use quickly growing. Ethan's interest in CBD was invigorated with the discovery of the cannabinoid system and how the CBD and THC compounds work with that system to effect the body and mind - at the time, back in the 1970s, THC was getting all the attention and CBD was being overlooked for it's anti-inflammatory, pain killing, and it's THC side effect reduction properties. The CBD component of cannabis doesn't get you 'high' like the THC does. Another component, CBG is highly anti-biotic, anti-cancer (especially prostate), and anti-anxiety. A deep dive interview into the various cannabis components and medicinal uses.
