THC increases tolerance to THC, yes. Smoking increases your tolerance to smoking. Edibles increase your tolerance to edibles. Extracts (essentially, more THC, no plant matter) increase your tolerance to extracts. The more you do on a regular basis, the more likely you'll need that amount.
For me, I have PTSD along with fibromyalgia, chronic pain, insomnia, chronic fatigue, neurological disorders, spina bifida, IBS, and so on. I don't take any pills or pharmaceuticals or other drugs of any kind. THC saved my life and keeps me alive, and does the same for my wife @MediKatie who is crippled and keeps spinal cancer at bay with large doses of THC. Without extracts, we would be dead.
So there's no such thing as a tolerance break, for us. And no worry about tolernace.
We've been dabbing about 3/4 of a gram (between the two of us) per day, and it's about 80% THC, so we're getting about 300mg each. That would take a lot of bud (and lung damage) to obtain. : )
I've heard the dabs drastically increases the tolerance :)

Dabs sounds like the way to go for you two
Yes, and here's a dab in the park.
Another advantage: very little smell! : )
