Actually the fire resistance is incredible.
I seen one video of this guy putting a propane torch on a block and he just left it there and started talking. Like 20 minutes later he actually gets back to pointing out how the block isn't burning...

that is completely true! By the way, hemp does not require so much efforts for cultivation. Just a lot of sun and water.
Unfortunately, lobby's interests are too big to make hemp/cannabis to freely spread into the market. Anyway, I guess it will be like internet and cryptos. The moment more people will know all the benefits of hemp, they will start asking and cultivating.
Actually you need good soil and of course you need some integrated pest Management however if you are running the right strains I totally agree that you really don't need much after you've got a good soil base.
And you absolutely do need more specialized equipment to process things however this is all easily achievable and an extremely good investment.
Housing food as well as medicine this plant has quite a bit of potential to help human societies if we just take advantage of it.
