CREANDO UNA PIPA / CREATING A PIPE

En el largo tiempo que llevo como consumidor de cannabis, siempre he fumado en pipas artesanales hechas por mí. Últimamente un amigo me invita para su casa a fumar un poco de cannabis y siempre me pide que lleve alguna de mis pipas.

In my long time as a cannabis user, I have always smoked from handmade pipes made by me. Lately a friend invites me to his house to smoke some cannabis and he always asks me to bring one of my pipes.

En el pasado yo le he regalado varías pipas a él, pero siempre las pierde, por esa razón decidí hacerle una nueva pipa para que fume tranquilo en su casa. Llevo varios días pensando en cómo hacerla, buscando varios objetos que me sirvan para su elaboración.

In the past I have given him several pipes, but he always loses them, for that reason I decided to make him a new pipe so that he can smoke quietly at home. I have been thinking about how to make it for several days, looking for various objects that will help me to make it.

Hoy en la mañana, mientras me encontraba en el parque haciendo ejercicios, en el suelo vi una pequeña ramita que me podía funcionar para elaborar la pipa, la agarré y me la traje para la casa.

Today in the morning, while I was in the park doing exercises, on the ground I saw a small twig that could work for me to make the pipe, I took it and brought it home.

Ya estando en mi casa, haciendo uso de las herramientas que poseo, comencé con la elaboración de este pequeño proyecto.

Once at home, making use of the tools that I have, I began with the development of this small project.

Primero recorté un poco la ramita, porque consideré que era muy larga y no me gustan las pipas tan alargadas.

First I trimmed the twig a bit, because I thought it was too long and I don't like pipes so long.

Después con un taladro y dos mechas de diferentes tamaños, una más fina y la otra más gruesa, hice dos orificios a la ramita en extremos distintos por donde recorrerá el humo al momento de fumar.

Then, with a drill and two wicks of different sizes, one thinner and the other thicker, I made two holes in the twig at different ends where the smoke will travel when smoking.

Luego encontré un objeto que me podía funcionar como depósito, desconozco el nombre real de ese pequeño objeto, solo sé que se puede utilizar para conectar un cable con el televisor para obtener señal de TV paga.

Then I found an object that could function as a deposit, I do not know the real name of that small object, I only know that it can be used to connect a cable to the television to obtain a pay TV signal.

Lo instalé en el orificio más grande para que quedara como se ve en las fotografías.

I installed it in the largest hole so that it would be as seen in the photographs.

También reduje un poco la boca de la pipa para que no fuese incómodo fumar en ella.

I also reduced the mouth of the pipe a bit so that it was not uncomfortable to smoke in it.

Por último le unte un poco de pintura para sellar cualquier salida de aire que no deba existir en la pipa. Ese fue el resultado final de este pequeño proyecto que realicé el día de hoy para hacerle un regalo a un amigo.

Lastly, I put some paint on it to seal any air vents that should not exist in the pipe. That was the end result of this little project that I did today to give a friend a gift.
