It's that time of the season again. Afritunes community will be hosting her annual Christmas event (Afri-Christmas volume 4) which is scheduled to start from 12th December to 23rd December 2025.
We are inviting all musicians on Hive to participate in this celebration of love and joy of the season. We encourage participants to invite their loved ones (musicians) to join the mini celebration and win themselves some price.
The basic aim of the event is to create a space where all musicians around the world can come together in the spirit of oneness and Christmas, share Christmas songs and enjoy varieties of Christmas songs from other artistes that'll join us in this celebration.
You are free to present whichever genre of music you want to, as long as it's Christmas related. We also encourage participants to participate with their traditional Christmas music so we can have more fun around listening to diverse dialects and cultures. We have few rules to guide the event..

You can publish a cover or an original song by first; introducing the video starting with "Afri-Christmas volume 4" follow by your username and song title.
All videos should be published via 3speak, except in cases were there are issues with uploading, participants can consider using their web2 (YouTube, X, Instagram etc) channels. Quality videos might receive curation from @threespeak.
If you are presenting an original song, please do well to include the full lyrics of the song while If you are presenting a cover, you don't have to include all the lyrics of the song, the first and second verse plus chorus is sufficient. However, this must be followed by proper citation (link to where the lyrics were gotten from).
If you are presenting with an instrument, let us feel your connection with the music you're presenting and the instrument you are playing. You should also include the lyrics of the song.
Plagiarism: You must refrain from publishing someone's content as yours or need to properly source any material you used that doesn't belong to you. Plagiarism is a big No on Hive!
Words Count: Your entry should have atleast 200 words above in English or 400 words above for entries with translation.
This event commences from Friday 12th December to Tuesday 23rd December, you can make one afri-christmas entry in any day within the 11days of the event.
Amongst other tags, it is necessary to first use the #afritunes and #afri-christmasv4 tags for an entry to be considered valid.
REWARD PRICE FOR PARTICIPANTS
First Place:- 250Hive.
Second place:- 200Hive.
Third Place:- 150Hive.
First valid entry wins 5 Hive
We will also be rewarding participants with a little tip based on the quality of entry.
We will pick out 5 top engagers to be rewarded with 5Hive each.
Other Amazing Prices (Promoting Afri-christmas On Twitter)
Promoting Hive is a duty for everyone on Hive. Thus, the Afri-tunes community wish to encourage members to promote the contest on their Web2 socials. The judges will pick interesting Tweets and promotions to be rewarded with 10Hive for 5 good promo videos.
You can briefly tell people about afri-christmas on Hive and how they can make an entry by creating a Hive account, then publishing their post in the Afritunes community to be eligible for rewards..

Oh! I haven't been singing for like 17 years or so unless I was alone 😂
I ruined my voice back then. During a performance where we performed Last Christmas among other songs in a church (used as concert hall) with 600+ people, I sang with some sort of virus in my throat and it ruined the inner voice lips (if that's the English phrase for it).
I once stumbled upon a recording of myself singing along 2 or 3 songs. The recording was from 2021 I think 😂 But that wasn't Christmas songs and I don't know if I can find the recording 🤔
