in AFRI-TUNES2 months ago

My favorite Afro-beat singer is Simi. Her real name is Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, and she is from Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos state. Simi is a Nigerian Afro-beat singer, songwriter and a producer. She is widely known for her soulful voice and unique style of music genre. The music genre includes Rhythm and blue, highlife, Afro-pop, and soul. When we talked about Afro-beat singers, Simi is one of the most talented and successful Afro-beat singers in the music industry.

I started following Simi's songs in the year 2015, when her song titled Tiff, which was recorded by X3M Music, was nominated for the Headies's best female alternative and Headies best vocal awards. Although she didn't win the award that year, ever since that year she has been making a lot of amazing songs. She has done several collaborations and also won a lot of awards. In the year 2019, Simi became the CEO of her own record label, named Studio Brat.

One of the reasons why Simi is my favorite Afro-beat singer is because of her sweet vocal voice. Simi has an amazing voice. Whenever she sings, her voice always sounds like that of an angel. Her voice is so unique, beautiful, sweet and soft. Her voice usually touches the hearts of all her listeners all around the world. Her voice doesn't skip, fade away or get lost in a beat. Aside from that, she is a good dancer and a calm person.

There is no way you will be talking about Afro-beat singer from Nigeria, without mentioning Simi. Simi is a top female artist and a fantastic songwriter, she didn't just composed song, she composed a good song and most of this song comes inform of true life story or personal experience. For example; Duduke and love don't care. She sang Duduke in the year 2022, when she was pregnant, she uses the song to express her feelings to her unborn child and also to celebrate every woman around the world. While she uses Love don't care to explain that love doesn't care about anything, love is beyond tribe, money, religion belief, fame and societal status.

Another reason why Simi will continue to be my favorite Afro-beat singer is because of her consistency. Ever since, Simi has come to the limelight, she has been serving us good music, back to back. I love her growth in the music industry and her type of music. She has modernized a lot of old school songs into new ones. She makes them look so cool and beautiful. She has also once used Fela Afro-beat and blended it with her own style of music. An example is Woman and Original Baby, and she did a wonderful job on those songs. She has also entered Fuji and modernized it into something beautiful. She has the ability to switch from the English language, to Yoruba and pidgin. She also has the ability to switch from different genres to another. Her style of play is just so unique.

Almost all her song is my favorite song, I really love listening to her song. Simi is a super talented Afro-beat singer, all her song her good songs, she doesn't have any bad songs. Her type of songs give me lot of joy and happiness.
