OhEhmGee is a known musician/comedian in the Nigerian and African entertainment space.
He was very much known for combining what is commonly referred to as "tungba" music and present in a gospel-comedic way. People fell in love with his style of entertainment almost immediately he hit social media with his creativity.

More recently he took his "tungba-styled" music to the live performance stage and built a band with which he performs regularly.
And no doubt, he doesn't disappoint with his heavy african groove.

And y'all probably know me by now that I love groove.
This performance here is one of my favorite renditions of his live performances. The performance explores old Yoruba Hymnals in a relatable danceable fashion.

I grew up listening to Yoruba Hymns, so it's quite easy for me to fall in love with music like this.
Hymns were an integral part of my youth in my church environment where I spent a significant part of my life as a young boy.

This performance is a re-rendition of OhEhmGee's performance of Yoruba Hymnals but this time with the dynamics of my saxophone taking the lead role.

I ensured to allow the vocals to remain, for those who understand Yoruba language to flow, but the groove and feel must definitely get you dancing or bobbing your head.
The heavy presence of the local drums (gangan) is the soul of african music and dance.

Enjoy my saxified jam!
