Hello! This is beautiful—the fact that we are beginning not just a new week, but also a new month. I believe that it is going to be an amazing beginning, and I hope you believe so too. Before I continue with the post, I would love to appreciate those who are in the background making sure that this project keeps going. It is no easy thing to sacrifice time, talent, and sometimes resources to keep a community like this running. In a special way, I appreciate @ovey10. Though we cannot repay you, your sacrifices are seen. I also appreciate @ksam for founding this community and for the sacrifices he has made to keep it going. I appreciate @obaro, @starstrings01, @hopestylist, and every other person who has, at some point in time, made sacrifices for the good of this community. Your efforts might not be seen, but you have helped sustain African culture and heritage here on Hive, and that means a lot.

This week, I decided to do a song in my local dialect. It is a simple song of prayer that we sing in our church during the "Prayer of the Faithful"; a simple song with a great message. In summary, the song is a prayer to God not to forsake us. He is the one who understands our situation the most, and He is the one who knows how best to help us. That is simply the summary of the song—a petition to God to come to our aid.

This is a new beginning, and many of us must have entered the week with so many challenges. I simply pray, as I perform, that God might help every one of us out of that which bothers us, and that we may experience the peace of God which goes beyond all understanding. As usual, I will be performing with my keyboard, and I hope you enjoy the performance.

Performing this powerful song today, I have decided to add a little something to the original song. The song is originally just a chorus, but I will do more than that. I will add some lyrics to it, more like a verse. The idea is to help someone who does not understand the language get the summary of the song.

I am @ernesto6402, and I appreciate you for stopping by and for reading through my post. Do well to check out the translated lyrics of the song below if you do not understand the Igbo language. One Love ✌️.

Lyrics

Chukwu Ebere
Onyi di Omi Iko
So gi, so gi
Mara ka osi diri m
So gi, so gi
Ga aza m ekpere
Chi mo

Mercyful God
Every forgiven one
Only you, only you
Know how it is for me
Only you, only you
Shall answer my prayer
My God
