Music as known is the pleasant combination of sounds which is appreciable to the listener. Music aswell is also a "platform" where values are exchanged, information/communication exchanged and skills/abilities are displayed. Music has strong impacts on people either to the positive or the negative depending on how it was harnessed and maximised. My music journey started as a young boy in a musically inclined family and also as a chorister/instrumentalist in my home Church back then. Music has positively impacted on me in a journey of more than 2 decades and it's with joy i will be sharing on 3 major ones.
• Positive Music Influence In Leadership
Been involved with music has brought out my leadership potentials which has impacted positively on the kind of life i lived and in my endeavors. By privilege, i was the instrumentalists coordinator and assistant technical director of music during my undergraduate days which helped me on human resource management and interpersonal skill development needed as a leader. Through this, i learnt how to relate well with people and coordinate things better. This is still useful today even as i think and relate with other instrumentalists, singers, sound & media folks better with the mindet of team work hereby helping us to get awesome results.
• Positive Music Influence in Personal Endeavors
Music requires diligence, consistency and commitment which are good qualities needed to achieve something great in other endeavors aswell. This 3 things are the positives music built in me over time and i found them helpful in my career even as a healthcare professional and in other endeavors i engage with. People do wonder about how meticulous i can be and how committed i can be to a good course which are some of the things i learnt through music and are positive additions to me. People are fascinated with good music but what goes into it some may not know and hence, the above 3 are important to achieve such.
• Positive Music Influence in Skills/Talents Development and rewards
Music is a platform where skills and talents are displayed which can be rewarding or appreciable over time in monetary or non-monetary assets/rewards. Through music, my ability and creativity to compose and make something good of experience, situations or by inspirations was ignited. Not only that, music also facilitates some opportunities and access for me which if not for it, i may not be able to. Through music majorly, i was able to connect and meet some great people at different phases of my life and this connect helped me alot and is a rewarding one.
Therefore, i can confidently say that music is worthwhile for me and of great positive positive impacts with its effects been felt in other endeavors of mine and has earn me great reputation, respect and honour bringing the best in me and from me.
