Hello friends and family of Hive and welcome to my entry for Afri-tunes week #33. Today I bring to us a Trumpet Cover of "IMOLE DE" by Dunsin Oyenkan. Last week I covered one of His songs "Breathe" and this week I got inspired by This great song of His again "IMOLE DE" or should I just say I am a fan of Dunsin:). I really Love my country Nigeria and the different languages that we speak here, "IMOLE DE" is a phrase from the Yoruba's which means "Light Has Come" and IMOLE DE OKUNKUN PARADA" means "LIGHT CAME IN AND DARKNESS DISAPPEARED'. Of cause this is a normal phenomenon in Life, we all know that darkness cannot comprehend Light so, whenever Light shows forth darkness flee away. God is the direct representation of Light and when the presence of God comes in darkness disappears. Darkness can mean several things, darkness can mean sickness, darkness can mean poverty, affliction, boundage, slavery and many other things but when God shows forth all this things becomes a story, this is exactly the context of this song and what the song is talking about. The original song was played on G-sharp and while I played on A-sharp. I used a b-flat Trumpet and a b-flat Trumpet plays two keys ahead of the piano, which means I skipped key A and played on A# which is same as b-flat :) The song has some high notes of which gave me some little difficulties but am glad I could achieve my video to that level you can see above...
