Hello friends in the Afritunes community🥳🥳. It's week 33 and another lovely weekend. It's my first entry and I'm super excited.
I've always tried to make entries but somehow, providence wouldn't permit until this day! Even this one, my eye don see shege on top this song 🤧😂, thank God for good friends.
This is one song I've know for a long time and have always wanted to do. In his live performance, Cobhams mentioned the quality of us learning to give thanks even in the most difficult situations. This day two years ago, Nigeria was in an uproar. The whole country was in mourning and it'll forever resonate in our minds. Tales of that day will be told to unborn children. Despite this, we learn to be grateful even in the dreariest of situations.

What can I say? What do I say? Is it the song choice itself, or the excellence with the delivery of the song (seemed like it took 9 months to prepare), or the vocal dexterity? I am amazed every week by every side to your music that you show us.
I have actually known this song for a long time, I just never sang it much. It reflects the heart of many Nigerians (someway) and practically teaches us how to live in trying times like these: we still have to worship Him.
Nigeria will never forget what happened two years ago and what it turned Nigeria into. We have absolute no faith in our government anymore. And can you blame us, after the massacre? I really doubt that. We lost our very own who graduated from our school (may his soul rest well).
Nonetheless, all we can hold on to is hope and faith that Nigeria will be great. It once was, and one day it will again.
