Hello Afri-tunes fam, I trust we all doing okay irrespective of what's going on in this part of our continent (Nigeria to be precise) presently....well if it's any consolation friends, these too shall pass🙏. It's week 48 of our weekly contest and as always I'm super excited to share my entry. Music is everything for me, Music is life.

For this week I'd be performing a song by Nigerian disc jockey and record producer "DJ Neptune" called "Nobody". Neptune features Nigerian singers Joeboy and Mr Eazi on this groovy jam. This song was one of the biggest songs of the year 2020 and it's still a jam till date. It's one of the first songs I learnt to play on the guitar and y'all should know it's personal to me lol☺️...a song I love and enjoy so much, one of my favourite songs that I sing verbatim 😉.

The track is basically a love song, the featured artists both try to serenade a love interest with their sweet words hoping they can get her to themselves because they're beginning to feel very jealous and no longer want to see their love interest with anyone else.

The highly repeated hook does its job of engaging the listener completely before the artists then take advantage of the verses to entangle you into the beautiful world they've created in this vibe.

I do hope y'all enjoy 🎧 this cover as much as I enjoyed making it 😉, and please pardon my voice I lost it for a while and so I can barely hit my pitch and range, it's still in recovery mode. Happy weekend fam, cheers 🥂.

Hola, familia de Afri-tunes, confío en que todos estemos bien, independientemente de lo que esté sucediendo en esta parte de nuestro continente (Nigeria para ser precisos) en este momento... bueno, si les sirve de consuelo, amigos, esto también pasará🙏. Es la semana 48 de nuestro concurso semanal y, como siempre, estoy muy emocionada de compartir mi participación. La música lo es todo para mí, la música es vida.

Para esta semana, interpretaría una canción del disc jockey y productor discográfico nigeriano "DJ Neptune" llamada "Nobody". Neptune presenta a los cantantes nigerianos Joeboy y Mr Eazi en esta genial jam. Esta canción fue una de las más importantes del año 2020 y sigue siendo un atasco hasta la fecha. Es una de las primeras canciones que aprendí a tocar con la guitarra y todos deben saber que es personal para mí lol☺️... una canción que amo y disfruto mucho, una de mis canciones favoritas que canto palabra por palabra 😉.

La pista es básicamente una canción de amor, los artistas destacados intentan darle una serenata a un interés amoroso con sus dulces palabras con la esperanza de poder tenerla para ellos porque están comenzando a sentirse muy celosos y ya no quieren ver a su interés amoroso con nadie más. .

El gancho altamente repetido hace su trabajo de involucrar al oyente por completo antes de que los artistas aprovechen los versos para enredarte en el hermoso mundo que han creado en este ambiente.
