RE: I Had to Get a Lawyer to Protect My Self!!! Let's Talk While I Play Some @splinterlands tonight!!!

in DTube4 years ago

Hey man, watched your video which appeared randomly on my front page feed. I play Splinterlands but the reference to lawyers in the title is what caught my eye hah.

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes & also the whole USA / Stimulus / Cali thing - not to mention the insurance issues. I don't mean to pry or give advice where it might not be wanted but I can't help it, I appreciate your positivity and blessings in your video.

I work in the industry of Insurance Claims and this year has been hell on earth. I'm not in the USA but I figure i can at least give you some risk management advice for your ongoing insurance claim.

Firstly I wanted to find out whether your injury happened at work while undertaking your work duties but you later advised in this video it did indeed happen so that has narrowed down what sort of advice I might be able to help you with.

I don't know what the employer's indemnity / workers compensation laws are like in your state, nor what kind of policy your employer has to cover their workers being injured on the job... But I'm concerned at the length of time that's passed between you notifying your employer and their workers comp insurer accepting the claim for your workplace injury.

My first suggestion is to be a little wary of your claim undergoing investigations, I wouldn't be talking in detail about it nor showing your bodily movements on camera. This is my main advice as with things being as they are today, Insurance Companies are being battered silly in 2020. Experiences in my country is that they will delay, deny and defend when it comes to the crunch. http://delaydenydefend.com/ and when an insurance company's bottom starts to get impacted, the first thing to be put under the thumb for cost cutting is the claims they pay.

I don't want you to prejudice your own position out of innocence here so I really hope this isn't taken the wrong way man.

happy to delete this comment once you have read and/or correspond further. It's going to be a tough slog but the first step will be learning more about why, what, where, how etc etc. I know you said you don't like that lawyer stuff but there's no time like the present to trying learning what the hell is happening with this insurance claim, after all it impacts you greatly!

I'm on discord and twitter and you can email me if you wanna chat further dude. All the best and stay the course, persevere!
