We have crypto, AI, and the ability to establish a worldwide audience but education costs, healthcare costs, housing, food, and energy prices have went parabolic and wages and salaries haven't even come close to keeping up. To be equivalent to minimum wage in 1970 you would have to earn $66 / hour. People are extreme debt slaves and often don't actually own anything including the phone in their pocket and the shirt on their backs. Keeps them on the plantation trying to get to the next day. House prices too high, because us banksters allowed for people to keep financing more % of their salary, and we lowered interest rates, and we kept them from building more houses to keep up with demand.
But, that is all the fault of those greedy landlords, so, the govern-cement will "own" the houses, and you won't have to pay as much, we will just take it out of your salary before you ever see it, as long as you keep your social-credit-score high.
Fortunately, for many of us crypto people, we will have enough to fully buy a homestead, and once we have that, then grow food. And once we have that, figure out something that can be made and sold online. And then, we have an alternative economy.
It certainly side steps the plan like the Amish. They go after the Amish for drinking unpasteurized milk and other stuff like that.
I think threw various inheritance and stuff like that things can sort of fester along here for another 10 or 20 years but it looks like the UK is right on the verge of erupting into a civil war. It's hard to say how many of their citizens still have hidden guns and are willing too fight for their country. The path of least resistance for most of them is to just leave. It really would take someone who feels like they have nothing to loose to get cornered in some ridiculous situation where they didn't like the meme he posted or something and all hell could break loose there.

I have thought a lot about this situation as well from a different angle. Guys will say "Hold the line....don't SIMP" I do think there is an element of truth behind guys going more MGTOW and there have been some pretty brutal divorces lately and more and more guys are hitting an insane amount of friction in the dating market so they step back from it so we ultimately know there are going to be a ton of these Millenial women and Gen Z women who are going to be single and broke. They will likely get help from family but some will have to prostitute themselves in various ways and take that extra leap they told themselves they weren't going to do.
