I wanted to make a video specifically for DTube to reach out to the Leaders and community to get things rolling again. There are a lot of things that are unclear about the platform and where we are at with everything going forward. How active the leaders are and what the future brings. Are leaders active on Discord at the very least?

I heard in the past (many months ago) that DTube is deleted some of the videos. Do you have any experience with this? Is DTube good for long term content (video) storing?
Right now the current interface is mainly linking to 3rd party services or IPFS. You can only host videos that are 480p on there currently because the hosting expense got so high. So in a lot of ways it has regressed in its offerings to host files.
I understand. DTube currently has even more serious limits than 3Speak (ThreeSpeak). There are Full HD (1080p) videos on 3Speak (ThreeSpeak), but the maximum file limit is 5 GB. Currently none of these platforms are real alternatives to YouTube.
I agree and I have thought about a lot of ways to solve that issue. First and foremost there needs to be additional revenue streams besides just price speculation. This can be done through various burn mechanisms and also outside funding to buy back the token and distributed it to people participating in the ecosystem or just burn them. Also pushing the majority of content towards 3rd party hosting does make sense but then I feel like if someone has a certain amount of coins in the system. Like 500 or something then it should unlock the ability to upload directly. The hosting became too expensive but if there were thresholds that were set and adjusted by the leaders then it would only allow people who were vested into the system to do anything like that. DTube became more of a curation platform the way the system is. The advantage is the coins are liquid at all times. You don't have 90 day power down cycles or anything like that.
I seem to do much better with about 10 comments per day with my Voting Power set very low… only 15,000 will get me 1 Dtube per comment … It would be great if the Dtube Leaders would also post on Blurt, Steemit and Hive. At least once a month …..
There are a small handful of things that could make DTube more valuable. If the posting keys for Steem and Blurt were given to one of the leaders or if they would run the voting script again to upvote people who posted through DTube on Steem and Blurt that would immediately make DTube more valuable.
And yeah I agree. Seems easier to post some comments vs the video route currently. I'm going to keep pumping videos but making 10 comments is an easier route with the current activity and the way everything is.

Ionomy is awesome…. I buy all my cryoto there…. Bitcoin, Blurt, Dtube, Steem, Raven, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Hive etc etc … ionomy.com … they need to get YouTube Shorts working again. At the moment Youtube Shorts link don’t work on Dtube … they used to… but not anymore.
