We went to see a Lucha Canarias tournament in Tegueste and we loved it!
During our travels we've seen many different wrestling styles like:
Cholita Women Wrestling in Bolivia
And now we can add Luch Canarias to this list of different kind of wrestling styles. The arena in Tegueste and the sanded fighting pit reminded us very much of the Sumo Arena in Tokyo. The moment we heard that the Canary Islands have their own traditional wresting, we knew we had to go and see a tournament. Luckily it was just one town over our Las Mercedes home base!
