You're right, it's a fucked up shady business on steem and I remember back in the days when we're always so positive about a hard fork really. It's sad to see steem capitulate this way. I'm glad we got hive on time. I mean when my power down is up too, I'll stop cross posting.

what am I doing?
as you and also the majority of the old members, I am powering down all my STEEM, still 4 weeks to quit.
Hope we can escape safely from this mess because it is not only STEEM in danger, it is the whole precedent of an incredible damage to the decentralization/freedom concepts. This is putting under question DPoS algorithm which is not good at all.
By the way, did you know anything about the appics guys? are they planning to escape from Suns hands or not?
nothing official from Appics yet, but what I realized is that everyone, team, devs and users are fed up with the performance of steam lately and the team is aware that there has to change something asap. So I am sure there will be an update coming very soon. will keep you posted
