While living in an increasingly hyper-connected world, a cross-border flow of resources is constantly growing, where the mobility of people, goods, and capital is an integral part. Consequently, the centers have become symbols of modernity and often an inevitable choice for people who seek to catch up with development processes, meanwhile other individuals take an inverse choice to leave. Some of them replace their sedentary lifestyle with a mobile lifestyle, allowing them to be part of different worlds. Usually they move out of the center's competitive rhythm looking for a fresh breeze, new destinies and experiences on the edge of capitalism.
No matter the name we give to them, van dwellers, wheel estate travellers, vagabonds, houseless, transient migrants, hobos, etc. Their lifestyle is a non-stop migratory path. They move from one place to another carrying their cultures, habits and languages towards the future. They draw their own paths at the ruined landscapes of the industrial world, which serves as the setup for a variety of global processes, leading to a landscape full of mutual influences - uncovering affinity and otherness on the way. They cut off their relationships with the rat race cycle in order to extract and live their full human potential. They took the risk of being marginalized and wandering on the edge of modern society, while their postmodernity commences by evolving the self into new horizons. Somehow the precarious lifestyle they adapt to becomes their comfort zone on a large ontological life scale. They are not attracted by chasing the capital flow, they go against this relationship. For the first time in modernity, they look for the abnormal, they follow their dreams on the edge of the ruins without fearing the unknown, they take the risk trying to disengage their future and their daily practices from the capital. They do not follow the market demand, they follow their inner rhythm and they create a demand for their path.
