The Welcome To Chichester series is set in a semi-fictional world where secret organisations covertly battle each other for ideological supremacy. When a guest of The Violet Hotel is found dead, Grendel Jinx and her erstwhile "friend" are forced to investigate the death - or else pay for the hotel's kitchen to be reconstructed after being destroyed in a microwave oven accident.
