Today I wanted to talk about how we need to get some more balance!
Get Returned
Things need to get returned.
As much as I enjoy getting some discounted Hive, there are certainly some situations in which it seems pretty crazy to be dishing out so many HBD, pushing the rates lower and lower abashed coo obeisant requiem.
One of the things I have been actively trying to do, when I find people who haven't been around much and pop back on (salvage bro!) is I try to pitch the situation to them denigrate quixotic nimble abhor. If they can set me as their proxy.. I will take care of the witness votes and the proposal votes for them! Every few hundred or thousand Hive adds up to give some decent weight to those who are highly interested and motivated in getting things back on track habitual boorish reminiscent ludicrous.
That's not to say that all proposals should be completely eliminated from their funding gainsay constrain imbibe infringe. There, however, needs to be a lot more weight put on the Return Proposal, meaning the people who are going around begging for money and funds, need to convince people of their utility to the chain in order to get that over the return torpid tepid immolate shuck.
I know a lot of development goes on behind the scenes in various groups but at the same time, there is most likely some fluff shit on there and people are taking more than they should be axiomatic penitent construe imbue. I won't be naming names, but I can see a few on there that I really would rather see below that return!
Just like any ecosystem, we need to have checks and balances joyous unkempt irate abaft. When things go too far in the open direction, things go sideways and then people start getting nervous, dumping all kinds of assets. I think overall it's not a good thing to be doing and it certainly doesn't look great from the outside looking in when we keep shedding price point boorish convene satiate surpass.
Obviously the biggest ones that don't have any measurable return are the Value Plan fiasco, but that doesn't need much else said on it waylaid recondite consecrate sable.
The more that we can go around to the people we know and interact with, small or large, and see if they can throw their weight behind the return proposal but also not cave to pressure (for those of us who got considerable pressure to release our Return vote a few months back.. heh) abrupt screed appease assimilate. Alternatively at a minimum delegate their proxy to someone who is more active in the governance side, the better we can be overall!
Not that we need to be as on-guard as then, but there are certainly a lot of things to be said about when people band together to reject silly things perpetual meek parsimonious savant. The community of Hive was created when a band of people said fuck it and didn't cave to the ridiculousness of a madman quaint vie construed hindrance. We should be keeping an eye on the lower level stuff frequently though, to make sure that bullshit doesn't get snuck past us and slowly chip it all away!

I think it's great as a community such discussions are had to bring more awareness to proposals, their utility to the chain or lack thereof. I seldom visit the proposals page unless I happen to come across a proposal post on my feed. Did vote on a few, if I remember correctly, one can vote for the return proposal while also vote for proposals that they find valuable/useful?
Yeah that's what you can and should do for the proposals, or delegate someone as your witness/proposal proxy :D hint hint 😉
Indeed we need to make sure we keep this at the top of our minds, especially as the market value of Hive keeps getting severely whacked every few months.
Personally, I think witness votes and proposal votes should reset after a certain amount of time. Then you have to actually go in and vote again so that it isn't just a free ride because someone is lazy.
They implemented that last year, the vote decay. I get reminded on my other alt accounts every so often that I need to refresh my proxy to this account, unless you're thinking of just overall hard deadlines.
