I think that's where things get murky.. it's BECAUSE of the government and special interests that we are in the predicament we are in. I'm not saying that manipulation doesn't happen in the free market as well.. but especially in the food realm - they have an atrocious track record. Promoting things that knowingly cause cancer while suppressing or eliminating alternatives.
The good ol' president is toying with the idea of giving pesticide and herbicide producing companies the same immunity that pharmaceutical companies enjoy. It's some nefarious shit!
