I said exactly the same thing to my brother after watching Jason’s interview with Mark Devlin. Suddenly, a lot fell into place. Even as a child, I could never accept the idea of a benevolent creator, because, as I saw it, evil so often seems to triumph. What Mark said about nature being intrinsically violent really struck a chord. I suspect we’re in for some very lively conversations in Mexico.

I see that what I have relegated to Nature could be superimposed by assorted fractals of code now, but not necessarily intrinsically anything.
