As I see it, everyone has the right to say what they please, and if I don't like what they're saying, I'm perfectly free not to listen. Every time I hear a politician speak, I'm incited to hatred—but that doesn't mean I think they should be silenced.

I can definitely align with you there and I know it's a slippery slope, but it doesn't stop me feeling glee when they ARE cancelled. Absolute free speech doesn't gel with me when it perpetuates hate and violence, and I stand behind my absolute joy that this song didn't land the way he wanted it to.
